This project is a rebranding campaign for the Dallas World Aquarium. The aquarium's current army green logo reads a little dated, so I wanted to create something more current and fun. I felt that the logo and color palette needed to capture the exciting, adventurous spirit of the aquarium. I attempted to go in a new and unexpected route by avoiding shades of blue and instead using a brighter palette to give DWA a fresh and unique brand identity.
PRELIMINARY BRAND STANDARDS
When beginning this project, I played around with various shades of blue as well as different fonts, type treatments, and graphics. Here are 6 preliminary logos I designed before choosing to go with the more colorful and unexpected logo above.
